"My year at Carr Mills has been thoroughly enjoyable. As a first year student you never have high hopes for student accommodation however Carr Mills - especially the staff - have proved that doesn't always have to be the case. Everyone in the Carr Mills team is lovely, approachable and makes you feel very safe - you can tell that they genuinely care about the students that live here. Small competitions are always being held for the residents and well as there being a constant supply of free goodies in reception to grab; it creates a community feel that I don't think you would find at many other accoms. The rooms are nicely sized with comfortable double beds and en-suites. They are also nicely shaped so you don't feel like you're living in a premier inn or prison - you're able to make it look and feel like home. Some advice would be that the sooner you decorate your rooms/make them your own the sooner you will find it easier to live away from home if that's something you're anxious about. The flats also have large kitchen/living room areas which makes socialising with your flat mates and guests a lot easier. The maintenance team, in my experience, has always been very efficient usually fixing any issues within 48 hours - 24 hours for more urgent ones. All in all I have had an amazing year here and have been genuinely surprised by the high standard of living. Would definitely recommend!"

When I first arrived the room was in very good condition, really clean and spacious. My parents where happy with it. The staff are really kind and friendly, my room is very cosy and homey and whenever there is any maintenance problems they are very quick to get it sorted out. "Affordable option for students studying in Leeds in a decent area. It's conveniently close to all your needs like a gas station right outside, a convenient store about 10 mins away and city center is only a 25 min walk. The staff are also super friendly and any maintenance or issues you may have get sorted straight away."
